General Terms & Conditions
All changes are subject to seat and class availability at the time of change.
Note that additional to the collection fee, the difference in fare and taxes between the old and new ticket
will be calculated and charged as well.

All refunds are processed by the airline and not by Travel.co.za
Refunds take an average of 6 – 18 weeks to process.
Please take the time to read the information carefully and confirm the same are correct, e.g. names are spelled correctly as per the traveler’s passport, dates and destinations are correct, etc.
The booking reservation is now held by us on your behalf, subject to due and the timeous payment as set out herein and completion of the further requirements specified in this confirmation. You are solely responsible to check the the correctness of all information contained in this booking confirmation.
Upon payment, you agree that tickets and vouchers can be issued as specified herein.
As advised at the time of quotation, this booking confirmation is issued subject to our Standard Terms and Conditions of Business, which must be read in conjunction herewith.
Until such time as full payment has been received and final documentation has been issued, rates quoted are subject to change, without prior notice, due to currency fluctuation or any unforeseen operator expenses. The acceptance forms of payment are as follows:

Any bookings cancelled after this confirmation has been issued will be subject to a cancellation fees subject to the airline rules, tour operator conditions and travel.co.za standard terms & conditions.
We will endeavor to recoup the balance of the payments made to the suppliers on your behalf; however we do not hold ourselves responsible or liable for these amounts. Airline tickets presented for refund are subject to delays of approximately 12 weeks. We will monitor the refunds but are unable to refund these monies to our clients before we receive reimbursement from the relevant supplier.
Supplier Terms & Pricing
Suppliers impose different terms and conditions on the sale of their specific travel products or services (“Supplier Terms”). The products and services of each Supplier are sold subject to the Supplier’s Terms. You should carefully read all the Supplier Terms specific to the product or service you are booking before finalising your transaction. You acknowledge by your use of the products and services of each Supplier that you will be bound by the relevant Supplier’s Terms made in respect of the products and services you choose to contract for. The Supplier/s may in turn also act as an intermediary or agent themselves or have contracted out of liability, and the same cautions set out in 2.4 apply to Suppliers Terms. Examples of typical Supplier Terms are: Airfares and prices in the System may not include taxes or airport charges and are subject to availability of the product or service. Prices do not include any items or services not specified in the product or service description, e.g. transfers, telephone calls, laundry, meals, etc. Prices, fare conditions and class of travel can change at any time without notice. Routing restrictions may apply. No refunds/credits are given for “no shows” or unused services. In the event of there being an unscheduled extension (including a curtailment or cancellation to the products or services) caused by events beyond the control of the Supplier/s, any expenses relating to these unscheduled extensions/delays will be for your account.
In making a travel reservation through the Facility, it is your responsibility to: read the Supplier Terms; carefully check the details of your reservation and any confirmation thereof received from Travel.co.za ; convey all relevant information and terms to any other parties covered by any booking you make; understand all peripheral requirements that need to be met, e.g. obtaining visas. Tourvest accepts no responsibility or liability for your misunderstanding or error whatsoever in this process. All booking enquiries and quotations provided by Travel.co.za, are not confirmed reservations nor a representation/binding undertaking of availability or pricing. Quotations are a request only and simply an indication of pricing and availability at the time that the quotation is issued
Credit Card Payments
Only those credit cards and other forms of payment (EFT, cash, etc.) which are indicated as accepted on the quote/booking confirmation may be used to effect payment for bookings. It is your obligation to ensure that your credit card is valid and that you have sufficient credit on your credit card account, to meet all charges for all the products and services you book and Travel.co.za's administration fees.
You acknowledge that Travel.co.za: will raise fees for the administration and facilitation of your travel arrangements through the Facility and for the services rendered by Travel.co.za to you in this regard ("Travel.co.za’s administration fees") from you for Travel.co.za; and may also receive commission, consideration fees, charges or brokerages from the Supplier or other third parties in respect of the intermediary services rendered by it from transactions entered into with the Suppliers or other third parties. Details of such commission, consideration fees, charges or brokerages will be made available on your request. Travel.co.za's administration fees will be specified in the quote/booking confirmation prior to you proceeding to make payment. You acknowledge that you will pay Travel.co.za's administration fees. You further acknowledge that Travel.co.za's administration fees relate only to the services rendered by Travel.co.za to you in this regard and the payment of Tourvest's administration fees does not constitute payment for any part of the travel products and/or services you purchase from Suppliers.
Booking Cancellations and Amendment Charges
Certain fees may be payable in respect of the cancellation or amendment of transactions entered into, as notified at the time of the relevant transaction. Subject to the terms and conditions applicable to the relationship between you and the Supplier, in the event of cancellation of a reservation or booking, the Supplier who you contracted with to provide the goods and/or services may charge a reasonable cancellation fee, calculated in
accordance with the provisions of the CPA. Subject to the terms and conditions applicable to the relationship between you and the Supplier, in the event of amendments to a reservation or booking, the Supplier who you contracted with to provide the goods and/or services may charge an amendment fee. In the event of the cancellation or amendment to a reservation or booking Travel.co.za may charge a reasonable administration fee in respect of administering the cancellation or amendment to the reservation or booking
In accordance with the Tourism Act 72 of 1993, Travel.co.za is obliged to advise you to obtain travel insurance and to assist you therewith should you elect to take out travel insurance. Tourvest is however not a registered and authorized insurance advisor and simply makes available to you standard travel insurance options packaged by the insurance Suppliers. Any instruction to obtain travel insurance, must be in writing and any policy of insurance so obtained, will be subject to such exceptions and conditions as may be imposed by the insurance company or underwriters issuing the policy of insurance. You shall be solely responsible to: ensure that any travel insurance policy meets with the travelers requirements, including but not limited to conducting his/her/its own investigation (and obtaining professional advice as required) into the exceptions and conditions that are imposed under any policy of insurance; and effect any separate insurance required for any risks so excluded, as required by the traveler in his/her/its sole discretion. Tourvest shall not be responsible or liable: for any advise which it or its representatives furnish in good faith in relation to travel insurance; or for filing/prosecuting a claim on the traveler’s behalf against any insurer/underwriter who has issued a policy to the traveler; for any claim disputed/rejected by the insurers.
You are solely responsible for obtaining and meeting the requirements for passports, visas, health documents, insurance, foreign exchange, Reserve Bank customs and immigration regulations and other peripheral requirements (“the Peripheral Requirements”). Passports are required for all travellers departing South Africa. Permanent residents travelling on a foreign passport must hold a South African Re-entry Visa. Many countries require that foreign nationals entering hold a passport with at least six months validity from the date of departure of the country visited. Tourvest may provide you (on request) with information in good faith in respect of the Peripheral Requirements, but due to the constant changing nature of such Peripheral Requirements, this should be treated as a guideline only. Tourvest accepts no liability for ensuring that the Peripheral Requirements are provided, nor shall Travel.co.za be liable for the accuracy of any information furnished by Travel.co.za in connection with the Peripheral Requirements or any failure by Tourvest to provide information relating thereto. Travel.co.za has available in its offices, the customer support service of an independent third party contractor (“Visa Services”), who will provide you with a professional visa advisory and procurement service. This service, should you elect to use same, is subject to a separate contractual arrangement with Visas Services and the payment of their quoted fees for the service in question.
In order to facilitate your booking, Travel.co.za may collect and process your personal information (i.e. your name, e-mail and physical / postal address and / or other contact details and/or any other personal identifier). Travel.co.za confirms that it is committed to the protection of your personal information and that it has reasonable safeguards in place to protect your personal information. You agree and consent that Tourvest may process your personal information and share such information with the Suppliers, their representatives or any other third party for the purposes of making the booking for you in accordance with all applicable laws. You consent to Travel.co.za sharing your personal information which may be subject to further processing by Suppliers, other agents or subcontractors performing services in relation to your booking, including the cross border transfer of your personal information to third parties outside of the Republic of South Africa. Your email address will also be added to our travel newsletter database for purposes of sending you regular newsletters and specials on offer. You may, free of charge, unsubscribe from receiving such newsletter and specials on offer by following the procedure set out on the newsletter. Travel.co.za will use reasonable efforts to keep accurate records of the personal information provided by you to us. We will provide you with information in regard to the personal information which we hold about you and will also allow you access to your personal information in certain circumstances. Upon request,
may correct your personal information that you state is incorrect or remove
your personal information from our records, after you have verified your
identity to Travel.co.za. To request access or a correction

Disclaimers& Limitation of Liability
Neither Travel.co.za nor any holding company, subsidiary, affiliated or associated company or any employees, directors or representative of Travel.co.za shall be liable for any loss, injury of, or damage to your person and/or property whatsoever arising from any actions, errors or omissions on the part of the Supplier/s. All travel information, listings and pricing, are subject to amendment at any time without notice. Travel.co.za publishes such information in quotes/confirmations in good faith. You acknowledge and accept that Travel.co.za, as an intermediary, cannot and has not checked the accuracy of all information provided by Suppliers in the System. Suppliers are requested and encouraged to correct and update their information regularly and as needed in the System. Travel.co.za will not be responsible for errors, omissions or misleading information in any travel information and listings. You should make your own evaluation of the accuracy or completeness of any information, opinion, advice or other content available through the Facility. You are solely responsible for the suitability of any travel services which you purchase.
In particular, Travel.co.za is not liable for any inconvenience caused or any expense, loss or damage incurred as a result of any unsuitability of travel services for use in association with other travel services, save where such expense, loss or damage was caused by the gross negligence of Travel.co.za, its employees or authorised representatives. Travel.co.za disclaims all liability where any failure in the services is due to circumstances beyond its control and in no way attributable to the gross negligence of Travel.co.za, its employees or authorised representatives. Tourvest accepts no responsibility or liability for any failure or delay on the part of any Supplier or third party in providing travel services to you where your booking has been properly processed by it; nor is Travel.co.za responsible for any acts or omissions of Suppliers or other third parties in the course of delivery of such travel products and services. Where refunds are due to you from the Suppliers of the travel products or services in question, Tourvest will provide reasonable assistance to you in claiming such refunds from the Suppliers. Please understand that this process is generally a slow and lengthy one. Under no circumstances will Travel.co.za be liable for direct, indirect, consequential or incidental damages including but not limited to lost profits or savings or damages in respect of dissatisfaction with the goods and/or services provided by Suppliers or third parties, save where such damages was caused by the gross negligence of Travel.co.za, its employees or authorised representatives. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Travel.co.za grants no warranties, express or implied, regarding the System. Where Travel.co.za is liable to you, for a breach of warranty, under these terms and conditions its liability will be limited to providing the relevant booking services again or to refunding money paid in relation to services not provided because of Travel.co.za`s default, in accordance with the CPA. Travel.co.za may at any time it sees fit, change or modify all or any part of these terms and conditions with notice to the users of such change.
Interpretation, Law Applicable and Jurisdiction
Words implying the singular shall include the plural and vice versa, words importing one gender shall include any other and reference to natural persons shall include legal entities and vice versa. This document (read together with the specific quotation and/or booking confirmation, invoices and receipts), reflects the only and full agreement between you and Travel.co.za and any variation and/or extension thereof shall not be valid unless agreed to by Travel.co.za in writing. This agreement is governed by South African Law. The Parties hereby consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate Magistrate’s Court in regard to any action and/or proceedings based on/or arising from these Standard Terms and Conditions of Business.
As a condition for booking, you indemnify Travel.co.za from and against any liability, damage or loss that Tourvest incurs or suffers as a result of any action, inaction or omission on your part.
The Client is required to check the Suppliers baggage conditions which is found on the More Information tab in order to ascertain their free baggage allowance.
In addition to the afore going, the Client/Traveller is required to familiarise themselves with unacceptable baggage items in terms of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ACAO) technical instructions as well as the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Dangerous Goods Regulations – refer to www.iata.org-bags for information and links. For safety reasons dangerous articles must not be packed in checked or cabin baggage. Restricted articles include but are not limited to, compressed gasses, corrosives, explosives, flammable liquids, oxidising materials, poisons, and infectious substances.
shall mean the Travel Management Company, Tourvest Travel Services a division of Tourvest Holdings (Pty) Ltd, alternatively any one of the trading brands of Tourvest Travel Services including American Express Global Business Travel South Africa, Seekers Travel, Maties Travel, Indojet Travel, Travelit or Travel.co.za, and/or anyone acting for or on behalf of the TMC, provided such person has been duly authorised and is acting within his or her scope of duty.
shall mean the person who applies (directly or indirectly) to theTMC for theTMC’s services including, but is not limited to, a person who applies for his own use or benefit or that of any other person and whether applying as principal, agent or sub-contractor. The Client shall include any other person on behalf of the Client or whom the Client, represents and includes any company or organization who wishes to do business with the TMC.
shall mean these terms and conditions.
means all information of a private or confidential nature not in the public domain, including, but not limited to, an individual’s Personal Profile, and in the case of a juristic person, information of a proprietary and/or secret nature pertaining to such juristic entity.
means all arrangements made on behalf of the Clients by the TMC, to conduct business, for which authorization or acceptance of estimated costs are required from the Client to effect payment.
"Data Management Services”
means the storage, filing and updating facilities and/or services that may be rendered to the Client, pursuant to the Client’s request, including the management of the Client orTraveller’s Personal Profile,Client trading data, and any other confidential information on the TMC’s databases, inclusive of any ancillary or incidental services as contemplated herein.
means a nominated group of individuals travelling on behalf of the Client, or in their private capacity for leisure purposes. A group constitutes in most cases 10 or more people attending an event or travelling, but this number could vary depending on supplier criteria.
means all arrangements made on behalf of the Clients by the TMC falling outside of the scope of the definition of Corporate Travel.
means all third party rewards or benefit programmes in respect of which a Client or Traveller receives or ought to receive rewards or benefits of whatsoever nature as a result of utilising the services or products of such third party.
means the internet based link that provides access to the Supplier inventory through the TMC’s online booking site. This facility provides access to pre-negotiated rates with Suppliers together with other enhanced functionality relating to such services as developed and/or updated or modified from time to time by theTMC.
shall mean, inter alia, obtaining or meeting the requirements for passports, visas, health documents, insurance, foreign exchange, Reserve and other bank approvals, use of credit cards, customs and immigration regulations as well as other peripheral requirements or services falling outside the actual travel arrangements made with Suppliers and other parties for whom the TMC acts as intermediary which shall, in the absence of agreement with theClientorTraveller, be rendered in the TMC’s sole discretion.
means Confidential Information relating to an identifiable living natural person, including, but not limited to:-
means the estimate provided by the TMC to the Client pursuant to a request or enquiry from such Client, whether received by e-mail, internet or telephonically, reflecting the estimated cost of identified travel and/or accommodation arrangements, which estimates are subject to availability and the further terms and conditions set out by the Supplier. Validity is influenced by time periods determined by theSupplier, in most cases until close of midnight on the day of booking.
shall mean any travel or other service facilities, product or matter incidental thereto of whatsoever nature arranged or to be arranged by the TMC (whether directly or indirectly) to or for the "Client or the traveler”.The aforesaid shall be used interchangeably and shall include, inter alia, but not be limited to the providing of advice or information, the booking of reservations for accommodation, transport or the like (whether by air, sea, land or otherwise), other service or facility (even though not specifically requested by the Client or the traveller)provided by the TMC or which the TMC in its sole and absolute discretion deems necessary or ancillary to the services of facilities requested, or anything else associated with or related to travel.
shall mean the provider of air travel, accommodation, transport, tour operators, car hire, and all other relevant services or products arranged by the TMC, or any services ancillary thereto provided by the Supplier or any other parties.
shall mean any other party who has made or secured any travel bookings or arrangements for the Client including the TMC’s online travel management solution or after-hours services.
shall mean any party employed by the TMC who has made or secured any travel bookings or arrangements for the Client. The arrangements can be made in the traditional travel trading environment, groups and incentives or leisure divisions. These services can also be rendered in the call centers supporting the Client base of customers after hours or the online travel management solution provided by theTMC.
shall mean any person (whether or not such person is the Client who utilises or obtains any benefit from the Services of the TMC. TheTravellershall include a potential Traveller.
One of the goals of Travel.co.za is to bring you information that is tailored to your individual needs through the use of the Sites, whilst at the same time protecting your privacy. The information set out below is a summary of the various ways in which Travel.co.za treats the information you provide to it whilst using the Sites.
The Type of Information Travel.co.za collects through the Sites
Travel.co.za generally collects personally identifying information through the Sites with your specific knowledge and consent. It can collect data on you from a variety of different sources. These include:
when you purchase products or services from the Sites and knowingly provide Travel.co.za with your personal details;
when you become a subscriber to Travel.co.za’s newsletter;
when you activate an account;
when you speak to Travel.co.za’s call centre agents and provide them with your personal data including, but not limited to your name, address, contact details (such as your telephone numbers and e-mail address), and credit card details (collectively, ‘Personal Data’) either telephonically or by email;;
via explicit data capture measures, for example by entering competitions and/or completing surveys; and
In any of the above cases the data Travel.co.za collects may include Personal Data, whilst optional information such as your age, location or gender may also be requested.
How Travel.co.za uses Information provided by You
When you make a booking via the Sites or give Travel.co.za any Personal Data, Travel.co.za may need to collect information about you to complete and/or process a specific transaction (such as a flight booking with a specific airline), fulfill your order and provide you with the services you expect at the time, and in the future.
As per South African data protection legislation Travel.co.za may send you promotional information if above personal data is held through a completed transaction.
UNLESS YOU PROVIDE TRAVEL.CO.ZA WITH YOUR EXPRESS CONSENT (either via the Sites or directly to Travel.co.za), it will only disclose Personal Data to third parties if it is required for the purpose of completing your transaction with Travel.co.za, provided that Travel.co.za may disclose your Personal Data to certain permitted third parties, such as members of Travel.co.za’s own group, its own professional advisers who are bound by confidentiality codes and/or when it is legally obliged to do so. There may be occasions when Travel.co.za is legally required to provide access to its database in order to cooperate with police investigations or other legal proceedings. In those instances, the information so provided shall be solely for that purpose.
The Sites retain and use your Personal Data to provide you with the best remote commerce experience by providing you with a personalised service and to give you details of offers which Travel.co.za thinks will be of interest to you. Travel.co.za may also use your Personal Data to process any transactions you undertake with Travel.co.za and for internal administration and analysis.
Travel.co.za shall not sell, rent or trade your Personal Data to third parties for marketing or any other purposes without your express consent (except as specifically set out in the paragraph immediately above).
Session cookies: These are used to maintain a so-called ‘session state’ and only lasts for the duration of your use of the Sites. A session cookie expires when you close your browser, or if you have not visited the server for a certain period of time. For example, if you consider your journey through the Sites to be a conversation with Travel.co.za, the session cookie reminds the Sites where Travel.co.za was in that conversation (for instance if at some point in the conversation you asked Travel.co.za to add a hotel to your basket, next time you click on the basket it will still be there). Session cookies are required for the Sites to function effectively but are not used in any way to identify you personally.
Permanent cookies: These cookies outlast user sessions and store a unique number on your hard drive in order to identify you as an individual user. No Personal Data is stored in permanent cookies. You can view permanent cookies by looking in the cookies directory of your browser installation. Travel.co.za uses permanent cookies to identify you between Site visits. For example, if you were browsing Cape Town hotels last time you were on the Site and Travel.co.za has a great hotel deal in Cape Town, it may use a permanent cookie to recognise you and show you this deal. These permanent cookies are not required for the Sites to work but may enhance your browsing experience.
Although you cannot block session cookies as they are required for the Sites to function correctly, your internet browser can be configured to reject permanent cookies and is dependent on the type of internet browser you use. Please refer to the relevant internet browser manufacturer's website where you should be able to view the steps in rejecting these cookies if you wish to do so.
Your Internet Protocol (‘IP’) address is usually associated with the place from where you access the internet, like your Internet Service Provider, your company or your university. Travel.co.za may use your IP address to help diagnose problems with its server, gather broad demographic information, and administer the Sites.
Data Protection Legislation
Travel.co.za’s head office and operations are based in South Africa, and it therefore operates in accordance with applicable South African data protection legislation.
Travel.co.za’s newsletter subscribers have the option to opt-out of receiving further information from Travel.co.za. There is an "unsubscribe" link in the footer of each email you receive. Alternatively, send an email to newsletter@Travel.co.za to unsubscribe. The client may also contact us to unsubscribe to any of our marketing material.
Change/ Modification of E-mail Details
To change your e-mail address details, send an e-mail with your correct details to:email@example.com
If you need to modify or change your Personal Data after you have made a purchase on the Sites please contact Travel.co.za as soon as possible.
